“Emo Revival” Starts Living Up To Its Name

This year has been an eventful one in the world of die-hard emo fans.

To go chronologically, first: Sunny Day Real Estate recorded and released its first new song in over a decade on a split with Circa Survive.

Second, American Football (after a monthlong countdown) announced a handful of new shows, which are essentially their first shows together as a band in this century.

You can view the dates here, and order the deluxe reissue of their amazing self-titled album. It’s probably worth noting that the site has a bandsintown button to follow them, which hints at their adding new shows in the future.

Finally, Houston-born band Mineral have reunited for a series of shows ending at this year’s Fest in Florida.

View the dates here, and pray that they add some dates in their hometown.

Get excited, emo nerds.
