Drake Announces Houston Appreciation Weekend (Schedule and Details)

It is undeniable that Grammy-award winning musician, Drake, loves Houston, Texas! Often referring to our city in his songs since 2007, Drake has proclaimed Houston as his second home. Back in March, Drake, announced Houston Appreciation Weekend, also known as HAW. He later announced the dates, which will be from Thursday, June 12th to Sunday, June 15th.

We have listed the events and information for all things HAW:

HAW Schedule

Thursday, June 12th

Launch of OVO Pop-Up Shop

The first event of the Houston Appreciation Weekend will be an OVO Pop-Up shop at Premium Goods located at 2416 Times Blvd, Houston, TX 77005. Starting at 12 PM, fans will be able to purchase official OVO merchandise at the store.

Houston Astros Present: Houston Appreciation Night at Minute Maid Park

Drake will be hosting a night at the Minute Maid Park with the Astros! They will be playing the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10 PM. Tickets to sit in Drake’s section are $30 and can be bought here using the passcode “drake.” Everyone in this section will receive a Houston Appreciation Weekend shirt.

Habibiz Hookah Pop Up

Drake loves his hookah so much that he brought his good friend from Habibiz for Hookah night. It will be held from 5 – 9 PM at Prospect Park Sports Bar located at 3100 Fountain View Drive, Houston, TX 77057.

HAW Kickoff Party

To end the first day of Houston Appreciation Weekend, Drake will be hosting the Kickoff Party at the 5th Amendment located at 2900 Travis St, Houston, TX 77006.

 

Friday, June 13th

Drake Concert at Warehouse Live

Drake has often referred to his first show in Houston at Warehouse Live back in 2009. He is coming back to perform on Friday, June 13th. In order to obtain tickets to the event, you must volunteer about 4 hours at any event hosted by the Rock Corps at Facebook.com/RockCorpsGlobal. You must pre- register on the link listed in the event page, show up to volunteer, and then you will get a ticket to see Drake! You must be 16 years old and bring an ID. As of right now, all of the events have filled up. Keep a look out in the next couple of days for a chance to volunteer around the city and get your ticket to see Drake at Warehouse Live.

After Party with Drake, Lil Wayne and More

After the Warehouse Live show, Drake will be headed to The Gatsby with Lil Wayne and Special Guests. The Gatsby is located at 1902 Washington Ave. Buy tickets here.

Saturday, June 14th

HAW Pool Party

During the day, everyone will be recovering from the night before with a mansion pool party! Details of the location and tickets have not been announced yet.

“Think Like A Man Too” Movie Premiere

Kevin Hart was just in Houston serving breakfast at the Breakfast Klub and he is coming back for HAW! In the evening, there will be a movie premiere for Hart’s new movie, “Think Like A Man Too.” There may not be room for everyone, but keep a look out for how to attend.

After Party

Just like the last two nights, the day will end with a party, but this time at Venue! Drake, Kevin Hart, and other special guests will be in the building. Venue is located at 719 Main St #500, Houston, TX 77002. Buy tickets here.

Sunday, June 15th

HAW Basketball Tournament

The last day of HAW will consist of a Celebrity Charity Basketball Game at M.O. Campbell Center from 2 PM- 6PM. Players will include TJ Ford, Jeremy Mincey, Dez Bryant, Mike Jones, Kirko Bangz, Riff Raff, Dorrough, Mr. Rogers and more! HAW Wrap Party

The final event of the first annual Houston Appreciation Weekend will take place at Club Paradise with Drake and special guests. Buy tickets here.

    Big fan would love to get out and volunteer as well as have the opportunity to see Drake would like to know what I can do to get involved for the cause as well as be able to be present when my favorite artist shows love
    to my hometown
