Ne-Yo, a Grammy Award-winning R&B singer and songwriter, put on an amazing show Tuesday night at the House of Blues in Downtown Houston. The amount of hit songs he has written, collaborated on, produced, and recorded is mind-blowing. He was full of charisma and even had the crowd in the seated section on their feet the whole time. Ne-Yo first gained recognition when he wrote the hit song “Let Me Love You” for Mario in 2004. Since then, he has had many chart-toppers, including “Hate That I Love You,” “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)”, “Miss Independent” and “Closer,” all of which he performed live to a cheering crowd. Ne-Yo has received many awards since the start of his career, including a: Grammy, BET Award, Billboard Music Award, and Soul Train Music Award. He was extremely down to earth and humbled by the fact that everyone knew all the words to songs he had written as far back as 10 years ago. He performed a lot of old songs, as well as a lot of new songs- including his new single “She Knows” ft. Juicy J from his new album “Non Fiction.” Look out for this new album, featuring artists such as Schoolboy Q, Juicy J, and Ty Dolla $ign,  which is set for release in early 2015. Ne-Yo claims that he is departing from his recent dance hits to return to his R&B roots in this new album. Ne-Yo has come out with countless songs that will be deemed classics, but perhaps his best one is his classic and timeless ballad- “So Sick.”
