Throwback Thursday: “Champagne Supernova”

On this day 19 years ago, Oasis released their 2nd studio album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?  It initially sold over 347,000 copies in the first week, making it the second fastest selling album in British history at the time. The album remained in the UK Charts’ Top 3 for 7 months. It received 14 platinum certifications, the highest awarded to one record until Adele’s 21. Some of the album’s many awards include the Best British Album of 1996 and 2010’s Best British Album of the Last 30 Years. Their two biggest hits from the album were “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova.” The latter has been featured in pop culture many times, including  the American show “The O.C.” and the British show “My Mad Fat Diary.” Here it is for your listening pleasure:
