Country superstar, Blake Shelton, broke another record when he performed for the fifth time at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Shelton’s 75,016 paid attendees helped place his show in front of other performers, such as Pitbull and Florida Georgia Line. With this attendance record, Shelton holds three positions within the All-Time Top Twenty performances in Rodeo history. Although Shelton admitted to losing a battle with his nerves prior to the show starting, he hid them very well under the rug. All audience members could see was a talented and endearing country singer shine bright, in front of their bare eyes.

Barely anyone would have guessed that Shelton suffered from being nervous prior to his Rodeo appearances. The country star admitted in between songs that he gets “nervous as crap every time [he] walks out” to the rotating center stage at NRG Stadium. People laughed as he admitted his weakness and clapped to cheer him on and raise his confidence levels. Confidence went out the roof once the third and fourth songs serenaded fans. Fans that are loyal to Shelton always seem to sing along with him, knowing every lyric to every single one of his songs. “Neon Lights” was the one he started the show with and made his way to “All About Tonight,” “Hillbilly Bone,” and even his hit single “Boys Round Here.” Some of which he’s showcased on national television, more specifically on the hit show “The Voice,” where he currently sits as one of the judges of the very popular singing competition television show.

The night was perfect for a date, Cupid seemed to roam the halls of NRG as many were in arms and appeared enamored with each other. Blake Shelton rocked the rotating center stage and just when many thought the show couldn’t get any better, Gwen Sebastian, who was a contestant for “The Voice” during season two, joined Shelton for a duet during “My Eyes.” The crowd grew loud and seemed to truly enjoy the performance by the two country sensations. Finally, the unforgettable night concluded and Cowboys and Cowgirls left with a good taste of love in their mouths.
