It didn’t take long for Dierks Bentley to hit full-throttle on Monday night at Rodeo Houston, with this being his 6th time performing he’s no stranger to the rotating stage, and according to Bentley, seven is his favorite number so he’s hoping for a 7th Rodeo appearance in the future.

“You guys are so far away, I gotta get closer,” said Bentley before jumping off stage and making his way onto the guardrails to interact with the crowd. Selfies, hugs, high fives and more happened as Dierks made his way over the guardrail he even sported a fans black cowboy hat for a moment all while performing his hit “5-1-5-0”.

“I see cowboy hats and baseball caps but what I really want is an ice cold beer.” Luckily for him, a fan offered him a swig of his beer which Dierks gladly accepted.

Lots of friends and family (including his brother) along with countless fans joined Bentley to start the last week of Rodeo Houston, and for some the start or end of spring break. The Arizona native said that he’s been “making a lot of memories [and] covering a lot of miles,” before switching gears and slowing things down a bit to play “Every Mile a Memory.” Dierks Bentley’s sixth appearance at Rodeo Houston was nothing short of amazing and the crowd will definitely be coming back for lucky number seven in the future. The set was closed out with Dierks’ single and CMA Video of the Year, “Drunk On a Plane,” which had the audience on their feet singing along to the catchy tune, drinks in hand.
