SXSW: Uncle Lucius Sets the Bar

Written by on March 20, 2015

Uncle Lucius took full advantage of the packed house at Parish on 6th St. on the first night of the music portion of South By Southwest. This dimly lit venue turned into quite the party when Uncle Lucius took the stage as they had the crowd singing along with every word. The band performed multiple songs off their “And You Are Me” album such as “Set Ourselves Free,” “Somewhere Else,” and a personal favorite, “Keep The Wolves Away.” Playing in Austin where the band is from and has friends is a bonus as well because the band performed a pair of tracks with help from some brass instruments. I have seen Uncle Lucius perform only once before and it was an acoustical set, so to see the full band in action was amazing. I recommend you check out their music and if ever you have the opportunity to see them live, certainly take advantage of that.

Check out Uncle Lucius’ website, here.
