Remember when The Weeknd performed at SXSW in March? Remember when he started jamming out to a mystery song that everyone thought was named “Mood Music”? Well, after a few months of anxiously waiting, the mystery has finally been solved and the artist/producer finally dropped the CDQ version of “The Hills.”

The video starts out with Abel struggling to make his way out of an overturned car we have seen in previous videos. After leaving two girls behind in the explosion of the car (as the dirty, dirty beat drops), The Weeknd walks into an eery and dark house to find three new woman in a blood red room. This may symbolize his departure from the first and second chapters of his music career (“Trilogy” and “Kissland”) and into the beautiful beginning of chapter three. Whatever the the real meaning of the video is, all XO fans are happy that Abel has finally shown them some love with this music video.

Check out the fiery production below!

The track is also available for purchase on iTunes and stream on Spotify.
