http://gty.im/487136032 Can I just start of by gushing over Halsey’s new hair? She has rocked everything from long mermaid blue tresses to her natural fro (she’s half black, let’s not forget) to a short badass buzz cut; but I love love LOVE the short blonde bob she effortlessly pulls off. As for the music video, […]

The first time I saw Pell, he was opening for R&B princess Kehlani in July. Now he’s headlining his very own tour called Only In Your Dreams.

WALK THE MOON just released a live album, entitled You Are Not Alone, recorded at the Greek in Los Angeles, California. The album includes commentary from the band as they perform a full set. This high energy piece mimics the experience for fans who’ve not yet been privileged with seeing them live.

http://gty.im/491769058 Off her latest album, ANTI, Rihanna pairs up with Drake to create the hot and heavy music video for “Work.” If you’re a fan of Jamaican Dancehall-esque music (examples: “Hotline Bling” by Drake and “Sorry” by Justin Bieber), you will more than likely find Rihanna’s “Work” to be your new jam.

It seems like everyone is either making rap music or electronic these days. Even though i’m a fan of both, sometimes it gets a little boring and the need to find something new makes me borderline crazy. Then along comes Hakeem and I feel saved.

Did someone say girl power? The recent release of Ariana Grande’s “34+35 Remix” featuring current rap princesses, Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat, may not have been able to capture the essence of a solid remix but did open up a new style of music for all three stars. The single begins with a similar […]

Grizfolk took their Troublemaker tour to Houston on Saturday, February 20, 2016. The band has been touring for a while now as this was the fourth to last show on their tour. They took along indie rock band Knox Hamilton, who appeals to a very similar market as the headliners.

So today as some of you may be aware the blind pre sale tickets for Free Press Summer Fest 2016 dropped at 10am. I anxiously waited refreshing the page, as one would, every second prior. Much to my disappointment the tickets were $109.50 with a $17 “fee”. Now I am not too shaken by this […]

http://gty.im/510517650 The 58th annual Grammy Awards ceremony took place Monday night in Los Angeles. Music’s biggest night featured appearances and performances from some of music’s biggest names—Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, Pitbull and Adele, to name a few.

“Bars are worth more than money because it’s something the people can use everyday to feel inspired.” – Kanye West

Sometimes after waiting through two openers who were not on the bill you’re somewhat prejudiced towards the third opener, who was also not on the bill. This almost happened to me when Hydra Melody came on stage last Wednesday night, opening for Tilian at The White Swan Live. I rolled my eyes as their full […]

I know I say this about a lot of artists, but John Keek has a voice that will blow your mind away and will probably become your new favorite artist. He definitely became mine.

I generally am a rock oriented person, but I love, have and always will love, Rihanna. Her latest album, ANTI, which dropped the last Friday of January, is just resonating proof that she is my girl.

Houston-area progressive rock band Vox Vocis is enjoying the fruits of their labor.

Louisville native Bryson Tiller paid a visit to the birthplace of chopped and screwed music Sunday night at House of Blues.

While Vampire Weekend hasn’t released any new music, Baio, otherwise known as Chris Baio from Vampire Weekend, released his debut solo album in September via Glassnote. Now, Baio has shared his music video for his title track, “The Names.”

Are y’all ready to get in{formation}?

Well, if you read the previous post about Deftones and how rumors were circling of the name of the album being Gore, you’ll know I thought it was a ruse. What led me to believe this was that lead singer Chino Moreno made those awful graphics and tweeted them.
