I first saw English indie folk trio Daughter live last year at Austin City Limits and, although a gratifying experience, I was left wishing I had seen them in a more intimate/quiet setting. These wishes came true last Wednesday at Numbers Nightclub and where the band performed following the release of their second record Not To Disappear earlier this year. If you have never been to Numbers, Houston’s oldest Nightclub/Concert venue, picture about a hundred of your closest friends swaying on a dancefloor to soft blue lights that reflect off of disco balls and vocalist Elena Tonrad’s soaring vocals. Their set was composed primarily of material from their latest album but the group managed to include some old fan favorites. Highlights included Home, Human, and Youth to which the crowd sang along word for word.

Here are some photos from the show.
