Though only 24, you could call Mac Miller prolific.

The emcee made a name for himself in 2009 with the release of his fourth mixtape, K.I.D.S. The tape, which spawned singles “Nikes on My Feet” and “Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza,” was downloaded over a million times and landed the rapper a deal with independent record label Rostrum Records.

In 2011 Mac released his fifth mixtape, Best Day Ever, as well as his debut album, Blue Slide Park. The LP debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold—a feat that hadn’t been accomplished by an artist on an independent label since the mid-’90s.

Between 2011 and 2014, Mac released six mixtapes, two albums and two EPs. The projects featured collaborations from big names like Kendrick Lamar, Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross, Juicy J and Odd Future.

Late last year the rapper released his third studio album, GO:OD AM, to favorable reviews.

Fresh off of a tour supporting that album, Mac will be back in Houston—performing at the Free Press Summer Fest.

The festival runs June 4 and 5 in Eleanor Tinsley Park. Purchase passes here.
