Artist Spotlight: Aminé

amine-pulp

Portland rapper and banana enthusiast, Aminé is making summer more vibrant with his upbeat and super catchy song “Caroline.”

Born in Portland, Oregon with an Ethiopian background, Aminé (pronounced Uh-Mean-Aye) has us all wishing our names were Caroline in his self-directed music video to this summer’s anthem. Lots of yellow, bananas and a cool pulp fiction shirt is just some of the things you’ll see in the video below.

Check out his 10 tracked mixtape Calling Brio here – my favorites are “Ye Ye” and “Rage/Peace” – and make sure to follow him on Twitter and Instagram for updates and hopefully tour dates in the near future.

Bethel is a senior at the University of Houston studying Journalism and International studies. You can find her fighting for her life at a concert or obsessing over music at some coffee shop. Follow @bloobart for weird tweets
