Written by on October 8, 2016

Shades? Check. Backpack with built in water bottle? Check. Cut-off jeans and bandana that you will eventually loose in a crowd of twenty-somethings? Check. Then you are ready to catch one of the hottest acts at ACL 2016.

Foals have long established themselves as consistent headliners of the indie pop and rock world from Glastonbury to Coachella. Since the dance-punk sound of their debut album Atidotes, Foals have been crafting their sound with higher production value, groovy bass, and mellow yet infectious guitar hooks. Still, they maintain the same danceable sound that made them arena fillers. After touring abroad and the release of their latest record What Went Down, the five-piece outfit from Oxford will be in Austin, Texas for this years’ ACL.

Known in the UK as one of the best live acts to see, it makes sense that Foals were nominated by NME as the Best Live Act of 2011 and 2013. Catch them this Friday, October 7, performing alongside acts like Cold War Kids, St. Lucia, and Flume.
