Freaky Deaky Artist Spotlight: Alison Wonderland

Written by on October 22, 2018

Coming into her talent as the most highly billed female DJ of 2018, Alison Wonderland has had a killer year, headlining festivals from Coachella to Tomorrowland. The Australian producer/DJ has played shows all around the world this past year, after the massive success from her second album, Awake. Following her debut album Run in 2015, Awake was the perfect follow up to show her versatility and production skills after the impressive debut. Not only does she play the cello for some of these songs (when she performs live, too!), she also produces and sings on almost every track, not to mention the perfect features and collaborations that bring in different voices as well.

Wonderland’s live sets are also famous for bringing live elements most DJs lack. She sings live and plays the cello in addition to DJing, which captures the attention of many live music fans and makes her set stand out at any festival. Mixing her own songs with those of other EDM artists, and adding in some new trap/rap songs as she’s known for, her diverse live sets have something for everyone. The energy and passion she brings for her fans light up any stage where she performs, as her stage presence is incredibly powerful. An all-around talented and versatile artist, no matter what genre of music you prefer, something in her sets is bound to have you dancing.

You can catch the magic of Alison Wonderland in Houston this fall, as she’s joining an excellent lineup at Freaky Deaky Festival. Taking over Sam Houston Racetrack, the massive Halloween Festival is sure to be a blast with incredible talent like Wonderland.
