A large and diverse crowd comprised of diehard rock fans flooded House of Blues on Tuesday, Nov. 27th. Although it was so packed we couldn’t really move around much, it was alright because the staff were friendly and most importantly the music was amazing.

That night, Brother Bird, The Front Bottoms, and Manchester Orchestra took Houston by storm. Manchester specifically were arguably the biggest show of the night. The night was filled with literal non-stop hits. It sounded as if they ate their CDs. However, any true fan could recognize the extra work that went into this show. Manchester Orchestra blessed the audience with super locked in vocals and unique and new original intros and outros for every song.

They constantly played on giving the audience incredibly intimate songs and then instantly attacked the listener with intense hits. The set was very well thought out and was arranged so that you feel the music whether you wanted to or not. There was no other option than to head bang along. Next time they’re in town you have to catch a show, Manchester Orchestra is an example of a really good classic rock band. They are amazing performers, it was a spectacular show, and I can’t wait for the next time they roll into town.
