Anderson .Paak just recently visited Houston with Watsky’s “All You Can Do” tour and is definitely an artist worth looking out for.

Formerly known as “Breezy LoveJoy,” Anderson .Paak exploded onto the LA music scene early on with his debut album, “Cover Art.” His album contained an impressive, soulful rendition “Maps” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs along with other covers of White Stripe’s “Seven Nation Army” and songs by the Beatles. From there, .Paak created another album called “LOVEJOY” developing more of his innovative, jazzy sound.

His new album “VENICE” just came out on October 27th and has been giving rappers, drummers, and R&B singers a run for their money.Filled with both hype and mellowed out jazz, “VENICE” is the complete package.”Drugs” is one of his more popular songs but is it only the tip of the iceberg of this album. .Paak delivers in bangers such as “Milk N’ Honey,” “Paint,” and “Already ft. Sir” while still maintaining his smooth jazz touch with “Might Be,” “Get ‘Em Up,” and “I Miss That Whip.” It is obvious that .Paak has combined his years of being a producer/rapper/drummer/song-writer/vocalist/singer to make a wholesome album true to his inventive music style.
