Kanye’s Video for “Only One” (Let the Tears Flow)

Written by on January 30, 2015

Kanye West came onto Ellen this Thursday to show off the video he produced for “Only One,” a song inspired by his daughter, North West. From its simplistic style and endearing words, it is sure to make you believe he has become a different person after developing a family with Kim Kardashian and becoming a father.

“My daughter, she wants to express herself but she just doesn’t have the words for it. For me, there’s so many things I want to do with film and clothing and I just didn’t have the words or the resources or the backing or the perception that I could do it being a rapper.”

The website features nothing else but a video of himself in a foggy clearing interacting with his daughter, whispering into her ear, and speaking the lyrics to the camera. Below the video you can also view what seems to be a copy of the lyrics to “Only One.” The video has dream-like feel to it and… I’m not crying there’s just something in my eye.

Okay, maybe just cry a little

It isn’t exactly like Kanye’s past projects, but I for one certainly am loving the softer side of his work. The video for “Only One” can be seen on here.

Comment and let us know what you think of Kanye’s tribute to North West.
