Artist Spotlight: Wild Party

Written by on February 5, 2015

You know you need some new music in your life when everything you’re listening to starts to sound the same and you’re skipping every song on shuffle. If you’re looking for something to dance along to and put a smile on your face, you should check out Wild Party! These four guys from the San Antonio are pumping out indie music so sweet that it might just cause you to take notice.

Similar to Magic Man and the Griswolds, their music is a mixture of pop and electronic rock that can only be described as contagious. The video for their new single “Out Right” was released a couple weeks back; this song features the trials of love and the struggle that comes with those.

There is no limit of things to love about these guys, their new album titled “Phantom Pop,” released late last year, has been making waves in the indie rock community. Some would note that their music sounds more like the work of hipsters than southerners like themselves. Though this is their first release on their label Old Friends, the guys have been playing together for several years, starting in 2011. The band took a hiatus after touring with The Wombats in Europe and now returning to the scene that so dearly missed them. No worries, though, the band is back in motion and touring with English group, Catfish and the Bottlemen,

You can listen to their new album stream on Spotify, buy it on iTunes, and follow their Twitter, Instagram, and like their Facebook for new tour dates near Houston!
