Florence + the Machine Teases New Album

Written by on February 16, 2015

Florence + the Machine released a new album teaser and a music video from their upcoming album, “How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful.” The new album isn’t expected to release until June 2, however, this taste of their new music has spiked interests of fans.

“What Kind of Man” takes a punchier, guitar-driven approach and is refreshing territory for the group. Both have richly produced videos containing distinctive choreography. The album is being produced by prominent producer Markus Dravs.

Florence Welch distributed a press release stating: “I guess although I’ve always dealt in fantasy and metaphor when I came to writing, that meant the songs this time were dealing much more in reality. Ceremonials was so fixated on death and water, and the idea of escape or transcendence through death, but the new album became about trying to learn how live, and how to love in the world rather than trying to escape from it. Which is frightening because I’m not hiding behind anything but it felt like something I had to do.”

Florence + the Machine also announced the album tracklist which is as follows.

1. Ship to Wreck

2. What Kind of Man

3. How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
