Passion Pit Announce New Album “Kindred”

After hinting at a new album for the past few months, Passion Pit has officially announced their new album, “Kindred.” It will be released on April 21, according to Columbia Records. To add to this exciting news, the band has released TWO singles off the album “Lifted Up (1985)” and “Where the Sky Hangs.”

“Lifted Up (1985)” has the exuberant synthpop sound Passion Pit is famous for. It’s a great song for those days when you need a pick me up and you feel like carelessly dancing around your dorm! The second single “Where the Sky Hangs,” is more mellow than usual but still has the signature Passion Pit sound. It has this really nice 80’s vibe to it and Michael Angelakos’s, the lead singer, falsetto meshes well with the atmosphere of the song.
