Don’t Brood About Where to Find Good Music, Check Out Broods!

Written by on March 2, 2015

Brother and sister combos have proved to be successful music ventures in the past and recent history. Families have been producing music for as long as music has existed. The Jackson 5 are only one example of musical success, more recently there has also been Echosmith. Another addition to the family vibe is the band Broods. Georgia and Caleb Nott have been preforming together for their entire lives and are now breaking into the American music scene.

The pair had help from Lorde’s producer in making their debut album “Evergreen,” released late last year. The album includes many of their successful singles, such as “Bridges” and “Coattails.” Similar to MS MR and Mikky Ekko, their electronic style is irresistible. Georgia’s voice is relatable to the point that you might feel like you know her after a few minutes. Their music is perfect for a day in from the rain or a drive around downtown. Albums that are completely genius are rare these days but you’d be hard pressed to find disappointment in “Evergreen.”

If you’re more of a live music fellow, you’re in luck! Broods are on their first North American headlining tour and they’ll be playing Fitzgerald’s on March 31, a less than $20 show, great for college students.

You can expect to be entertained and leave in a good mood! Our leg of the tour will be opened by Erik Hassle, a Swedish solo artist, who you can also check out beforehand!

Be sure to listen to “Evergreen” on Spotify, grab it on iTunes, and buy your tickets for their show in Houston! You can also follow them on Twitter and like their Facebook page.
