TDE signee Schoolboy Q lit the TDECU Stadium stage on Saturday night with his appearance at UH’s annual Frontier Fiesta.

Atlantic Records artist PJ opened up the show with her set of R&B and classic songs. She got the crowd warmed up and ready to go with her single “Nickels and Dimes,” which talks about money problems that most college students can relate to. After a 30-minute set, PJ left the stage in anticipation of Schoolboy Q. His official TDE DJ set the stage at 8:45 p.m. by getting the crowd excited with songs from A$AP Rocky’s “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2” to A$AP Ferg’s “Shabba.”

Schoolboy Q sneaked onto the Frontier Fiesta stage and smiled as the crowd went wild to his opening song “Gangsta” from his latest album Oxymoron. “Y’all are turnt up in here, man!” Schoolboy Q exclaimed as he saw the crowd’s reaction during his performance of “Studio.” He rocked the stage for the next hour and even made it down the field to high-five some fans standing at the front of the stadium bleachers. Q performed some collaboration hits such as A$AP Rocky’s “Brand New Guy” and even Kendrick Lamar’s “m.A.A.d. city.” He ended the night on a good note with his hit single “Man of the Year,” which every true fan in the audience yelled its lyrics to.
