Artist Spotlight: Conner Youngblood

Written by on November 18, 2015

Marrying striking sketches with smooth alternative sounds, Conner Youngblood knows how to stand out from this cowboy country.I woke up this morning and did my daily routine of checking all of my bazillion social media accounts. Who is wearing cute outfits on Insta? What political rant is happening on Facebook? What celebs are tweeting? Who was partying on Snapchat last night? Then, I paused on Snapchat and decided on a whim to read the daily discovery from Buzzfeed, Mashable, and the newest member, to my knowledge, Sweet. The caption read, “Conner Youngblood sings like an angel and plays the harp like one too,”and knowing me, I am a sucker for harps. Cue all the feels. This guy’s voice and harp talents were too much for me at 9 a.m. Listen to the song below to understand what I am talking about.

Youngblood does it all. He performs multiple instruments, produces all of his albums and EPs, and he is also the artist behind all of his album covers. There isn’t much information I could find on him (except that he is a smarty pants that attended Yale University and now lives in Nashville,TN), but what I do know is this Dallas native is going to take the music industry by storm. His latest EP, The Generation of Lift was released in October, and I highly recommended you treat your ears with an immediate iTunes purchase. And if you want to treat your eyes, you can watch the breathtaking music video for “The Badlands” below!
