Oscar and the Wolf  brought his Belgium pop tunes across the pond to play at Sidewinder’s outside stage on Thursday night.

Opening for the youngster was Melbourne’s own Cloves. Describing her genre as Australian metal, her set was much more along the lines of Fiona Apple circa 1997. Keeping her set simple, it was just her and 2 other band members that enchanted the crowd with a crisp tone and poppy beats.

A few minutes before his sound check, lead singer, Max Colombie, approached the stage barefoot to chat to a few fans. Grinning from ear to ear, it was great to see the band keeping everyone’s energies high. Starting right on time, Colombie danced the whole night through with his hypnotizing moves, laid back vibes, and pop tunes from his latest musical releases. We don’t get to see Oscar and the Wolf very often in the states, so check them out while you can!
