Trampled by Turtles is the embodiment of folk rock.

The five-piece Minnesota band formed in 2003. The members of Trampled by Turtles play an entrancing mix of string instruments with Dave Simonett on guitar, Tim Saxhaug handling bass, Dave Carroll playing banjo, Erik Berry on mandolin and Ryan Young on the fiddle.

Trampled by Turtles has released eight studio albums, three of which reached number one on the Billboard Bluegrass and Folk charts. Their fifth LP, Palomino, stayed in the top ten for 52 consecutive weeks.

Trampled by Turtles is currently touring and will make a stop in Houston for the Free Press Summer Fest.

The Free Press Summer Fest will run June 4 and 5 in Eleanor Tinsley Park. Purchase passes here.
