Written by on October 5, 2016

The fresh EDM collaborative duo Porter Robinson & Madeon are taking ‘shelter’ in Austin for this year’s Austin City Limits festival while on their North American tour.

24-year-old Porter Robinson kicked off his producing career at the age of 12 while gaining inspiration from anime and dance dance revolution. Keeping true to his roots, Robinson incorporates elements of his life long interests in Japanese culture into his music. In 2010, Robinson’s career started piquing the interests of fans across the globe.

Robinson’s self taught talents have been showcased in Billboard’s “21 Under 21 List” and even earned him the opportunity to release an EP , Spitfire, through Skrillex’s label OWSLA in 2011.

Madeon is the stage name of the native Frenchman who began producing in his early years at the age of 11. Madeon accumulated his fanbase through a Youtube video where he creatively stringed a remix of 39 different pop songs into a single mashup in 2011. Following his viral video, which at this point has racked up more than 36 million views, he released his first EP titled The City in 2012. Madeon recently released his debut studio album Adventure last year and it peaked at number one on the US Dance iTunes Chart.
