BUKU Artist Spotlight: Lil Dicky

Written by on February 21, 2017

Soft spoken with witty and self-depreciative lyrics, David Burd, aka Lil Dicky, isn’t exactly what you’d have in mind when thinking of a traditional rapper. Known for “Save Dat Money” featuring Rich Homie Quan and Fetty Wap, Dicky’s comedic music is making an impact in the rap game as a voice for the extremely average people.

His 2013 album So Hard led Dicky to fame with his music video for “Ex-boyfriend” which went viral with over a million views overnight. His album Professional Rapper started gaining hype in 2015 with his hilarious song “Pillow Talking” and “Molly” featuring Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie. His album landed at the No 7 spot on Billboard’s 200 chart and No. 1 on the rap and comedy list.

If you’ve never listened to Lil Dicky’s music, watch the music videos above. They’re guaranteed to make you want to see him at Buku this March in New Orleans. Get tickets here.
