ACL Artist Spotlight: SuperDuperKyle

Written by on September 16, 2017

SuperDuperKyle is making moves once again in Austin for this year’s ACL fest.

Formally known as K.i.D (Kyle Is Determined), the singer/rapper from Ventura, California isn’t afraid to let loose and have fun with his music. Often using sound effects from video games or 90’s inspired beats, the pop-rapper’s music -although cheesy at times – can’t help but instantly put you in a better mood.

His music may make him seem like he doesn’t have a care in the world, but Kyle actually works hard for what he’s got and how far he’s gotten. Making music since he was in high school, he told Rollings Stones how his mother raised him and his three other siblings by herself, and that a big sum of his money goes into helping her.

He was listed on XXL’s Freshmen 2017 class and has collabed with a number of artists including Kehlani, G-Eazy, Chance The Rapper and Yuna. With two impressive projects, Beautiful Loser (2013) and Smyle (2015) behind him, Kyle is someone you’ll want to see at this year’s ACL and if you’re lucky enough, you might get to see him crowd surf with his blow up surf board.
