The powerhouse rap trio out of Atlanta is set to deliver yet another headlining performance this year at the Mala Luna festival in San Antonio October 28th-29th. Migos has had a career breakout year in 2017 following the release of their incredibly successful second studio album Culture in January of this year. Singles such as “Bad and Boujee” and “Slippery” have been on repeat at radio stations all throughout the country.

This rap trio consists of members Offset, Takeoff, and Quavo with each bringing their own unique style and flair to the table. What makes their relationship unique is that all three of them are related to one another with Offset and Quavo being cousins and Takeoff being the nephew of Quavo. This may play a major key in why the group has flawless chemistry with one another on nearly every song they have put out. Migos strives on building off one another to consistently create a seamless masterpiece.

Migos originated out of Atlanta, GA in 2009 and served as one of the pioneers in bringing the Atlanta rap scene to the top of the hip-hop world. The group has embodied a triplet style of flow in their raps that has become synonymous with the group’s signature sound. Many upcoming rappers have shown tendencies of attempting to replicate this rhyming pattern but no other artist has been able to replicate the articulate flow and achieve the same level of success. The Migos truly built themselves from the ground up as in their early beginnings they would often pay off DJ’s with drinks in various Atlanta clubs in exchange for them to play their music.

While their popularity with local crowds was slowly growing through this process, the group’s single, “Versace” in 2013, would be the group’s first taste of stardom. The song reached number 99 on the Billboard top 100 and cracked mainstream after being remixed by Drake later that same year. In 2017, Migos have continued to grow exponentially with the group receiving multiple nominations at the Billboard Music Awards and their album, Culture, going platinum. Make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible for Mala Luna in order to catch the crowd favorite Migos on the main stage.
