Freaky Deaky Artist Spotlight: CloZee

Written by on July 12, 2019

Freaky Deaky, the festival formerly known as Something Wicked, is throwing another Halloween rave party this fall in Houston. With a brand new bigger venue, a new fourth stage, and a stacked lineup of artists across electronic music, the hype is real for this year’s festival being better than ever before. Freaky Deaky is around the corner and Coog Radio is giving you the scoop on some sets you won’t want to miss this year. The biggest Halloween bash in the city thrown by Disco Donnie Presents — you won’t want to be anywhere else on Halloween weekend.

CloZee is a composer, producer, and DJ from France who has made her way across the world by touring and playing her unique beats. Diverging from what a typical EDM artist would sound like, CloZee notes that she rarely lays down solely electronic sounds. Her favorite sources are organic and real, which you can hear in her music. Her classical guitar roots supply her an informed, melodic space that draws influences from unexpected genres like flamenco, to edits of The Glitch Mob. CloZee has performed on many continents: from Coachella to India, on four US Tours, and all over her native France.

Having played at some of the biggest festivals in the nation — from Electric Forest and Bonnaroo last year to Coachella this year, CloZee’s experience with festival sets has grown, and she’s sure to put on an incredible set for Freaky Deaky. Her music is special because she expands the boundaries of electronic music with her live instrumental influences, while also impressing non-electronic listeners with her stunning production and ability to capture vivid energy through her songs. You can click here to check out CloZee on Instagram and Twitter, and check out some of her music on SoundCloud or Spotify. Her latest album Evasion is surely worth checking out as she slows down to really feel into tribal influences with her own modern and elegant twist that makes it all flow together effortlessly.

Playing alongside other electronic music icons, such as Fisher (playing a 2-hour sunset set!), Martin Garrix, and Rezz, you won’t want to miss this newly expanded festival and killer lineup. You can check out the Freaky Deaky website to check out the full lineup and grab your tickets for this otherworldly musical experience while they last!
