Written by on October 28, 2019

Houston’s very own Travis Scott, will be back home Nov. 9th for the 2nd annual Astroworld festival. 2019 has been filled with defining moments in Travis’ career and Astroworld fest is on track to be another one.

In 2012, Travis Scott got his big break in the music industry producing 3 tracks on “GOOD Music: Cruel Summer”. Seven years later Travis is one of the most successful artist in music and is headlining his very own festival. 40,000 fans were in a attendance as Travis’ transformed NRG Park, into his rendition of the Astroworld theme park. The festival had an incredible line up including artists from lil wayne to young thug living up to it’s slogan , “wish you were here”. As the headliner, Travis put on a powerful performance proving, why he’s one of the most brilliant blockbuster acts in music.

For a musician, no stage is bigger than the Super Bowl with over 100 million viewers each year. Travis made a deal with the league to perform at the 53rd superbowl along side maroon 5 with the request that a joint donation of $500,000 be made to social justice accelerator, Dream Corps. Travis performed his Hot 100 No. 1 hit, sicko mode with aid from Maroon 5.

For a musician, no award ceremony is more prestigious than the Grammys. At the 61st Grammys, Travis was nominated in for three categories : best rap album, best rap song, best rap performance. Unfortunately, Travis was not awarded any of these honors but he still stole the show with a stellar performance. Travis performed “Stop trying to be God,” then went straight into “No Bystanders.”
