ACL is returning this year, as big and bold as ever.

Weekend 2 of Austin City Limits is guaranteed to be a great festival weekend. The lineup boasts dozens of great artists, from up-and-coming stars such as Zach Person (whose concert we reviewed in this article) and Frances Forever, to big names like Doja Cat and Tyler, the Creator.

Friday kicks off with artists covering a variety of genres. Riders Against the Storm covers the hip-hop/rap scene, while artists like Saleka and Daydream Masi bring their R&B/soul styles to the forefront. Mid-afternoon comes Disko Ranch, the acclaimed DJ and creative director of Vinyl Ranch; if you can’t decide between country and disco, this is the set for you. Pop artist Finneas performs around that time as well, in addition to alt-indie band Bleachers and rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Headliners Miley Cyrus and George Strait perform that night, preceded by Erykah Badu, Megan Thee Stallion, Dermot Kennedy, Jon Pardi, Lane 8, and Black Pumas. These artists cover pop, country, R&B, psychedelic soul, EDM, and rap. There truly is something for everyone.

Saturday starts off strong with artists ranging from alt-indie-pop (Holly Humberstone and Frances Forever) to Americana (Jade Bird) to hip-hop and rap (WizTheMc and Mike Melinoe). Two-person group Surfaces comes a bit later, as well as lesbian icon girl in red. Pop artist Remi Wolf and indie genre-bender Phoebe Bridgers cover the mid afternoon, followed by some solid acts (such as Modest Mouse and Doja Cat) before headliners Billie Eilish and Rüfüs du Sol.

And finally, Sunday the 10th concludes the entire ACL experience with a setlist to remember. Newcomer Zach Person covers the rock scene while Serena Isioma brings their signature indie pop-rock energy. Hip-hop artist Toosii and R&B sensation Cautious Clay are set to perform a bit later, followed by a great collection of artists including Channel Tres and Madeon. Finally, headliners Duran Duran and Tyler, the Creator will finish off the festival.

Austin City Limits will be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test to promote safety among festival-goers. Wearing a mask is also required in areas of the park where distancing will be difficult. That being said, if you comply with these requirements, ACL is more than ready to rock your world this year.
