Written by on April 29, 2022

Austin’s Oblivion Access has announced it will be adding new programming for their upcoming festival, expanding beyond just music. Among the new non-music programming added to the festival are live screen printing, a merch and vinyl shop, and a comedy showcase.

Night Swim Project’s poster show will take place at Native Hostel and features live art creation as well as onsite screen printing. Artists Thomas Hooper, Jacob Bannon, and Keenan Bouchard will all be present at this event, which is open to the general public.

At the same location will be Vendor Village, a merch and vinyl shop curated by Revolver Magazine. Attendants will be able to purchase both merch for Oblivion Access and merch for the 2022 performers here. The shop and poster show will both be open for the entirety of the festival and take place at the same location.

The comedy showcase will be presented on Thursday May 12 by satirical website The Hard Times and be hosted by Hard Times cofounder Bill Conway. Veteran comedian Eddie Pepitone will be featured as well as JT Habersaat, The Mccuewans, Ray Porter, and Arielle Isaac Norman. This event will be exclusive to those with the full festival pass.

Oblivion access will also be presenting even more new music programming in addition to their other programs. Online magazine BrooklynVegan will host a showcase of some of the heaviest doom metal bands around, with Thou headlining the event and the unforgiving Body Void also being featured. For fans of electronic and hip hop, Andy Morin (of Death Grips) and his A2B2 label will be hosting their own show, headlined by Morin himself. The A2B2 show will also include Mykki Blanco, Lust$ickPuppy and Deli Girls.
