Ava Luna makes appearance in Weathervane Music’s “Shaking Through”

Ava Luna were recently a part of Weathervane Music’s “Shaking Through,” a documentary series that challenges artists to record and mix a song in just two days. Curated by members of Twin Sister, Volume 3 Episode 6 has Ava Luna showing off its versatility almost to the point of exposing a multiple-personality with “Water Duct,” a down-tempo R&B song first trying to disguise itself as post-punk angst, continuing a pattern consisting of sparse verses growing into apocalyptic punk angst before settling into a sweet guitar-driven soulful truth.
Ava Luna’s installment of “Shaking Through” shows what happens when a band with limited funds but nearly endless talent is given a chance express themselves outside of their bedroom recordings. You can catch Ava Luna Wednesday, August 1st at Fitzgerald’s with Wild Moccasins.
