John Legend Set to Perform a Sold Out Show at Cullen Performance Hall
Written by Sunita Dharani on February 20, 2014
Last month, John Legend announced his “All of Me” tour, which will feature a stop in Houston, Texas. This tour is unlike any other because Legend has chosen venues that will be intimate with his audience and embrace the acoustic performances of his new album. The “unplugged” tour will set place the University of Houston’s own Cullen Performance Hall on May 4. Due to the close and intimate setting, the show was sold out within one week of tickets going on sale. Keep a look out because there is a chance that the venue will release more tickets during late April or early May. Hopefully many Cougars have secured their seats at our campus venue to enjoy a night with Legend. It is always exciting to have well known musicians on campus. You might even run into Legend at Einstein Bros. or even the M.D. Anderson Memorial Library. Ever since Beyonce showed up there, nothing’s impossible at the University of Houston!
The first time I heard Legend perform “All of Me” was when he performed it after his wife and he were interviewed by Oprah on her Next Chapter series. Check out the performance:
