Artist Spotlight: New Motion
Written by Bethel Biru on November 15, 2015
I don’t know what it is about the UK, but they have some of the coolest bands to listen to. The 1975, Aquilo and now New Motion. The band is made up of Josh Clarke (lead vocals and guitar), Harvey Downes, (back up vocals and guitarist) Jack Cox (drummer) and John Heatly (bass). Together, the four handsome lads make pretty cool music with soft guitars and groovy bass beats topped off with smooth vocals creating a sort of modern 80s sound.
The band actually grew up together in Hertfordshire where they went to the same school. Fast forward a few years and bam, New Motion was created. They gained quite the following after creating social medias for the band (follow them on Twitter and Instagram!) and built a pretty strong fanbase by following and interacting with their fans. In fact, these guys are so nice, I’m pretty sure you could ask them something on twitter and they’ll reply instead of leaving you hanging.
Make sure to keep an eye out for their four-track EP Anyway coming out on March 30 next year and watch the video below to enjoy a rather nice cover of Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean.” Cheers.
