Austin is THE place to be for Spring break. Their annual music festival known as SXSW is music heaven for every genre, whether your fan of mainstream or underground. Not only is it one of the biggest known music festivals where artist from all over come to perform, but you can also manage to get into so many of the pop up shows, concerts and parties thrown for absolutely nothing at all. You don’t even need a badge to have fun! One of the best shows to attend is MTV’s Woodie’s Awards and the even better part, its FREE. Did I mention A$AP Rocky is hosting it this year?

Bleacher’s front man Jack Antonoff hosted last year’s award show with appearances from the beautiful Zoe Kravitz, Tove Lo, Marina and The Diamonds and many more. Big Sean gave a great performance along with the wonderful Years & Years who made their U.S TV debut with their famous song “King” as well as a loud and energetic performance from rock legends Fall Out Boy and a bone chilling rendition of “Hold Back The River” by James Bay. But the fun didn’t stop there.

Performances from the Indigo Child Raury himself, Jess Glynne and Clean Bandit, The Fat Jew who brought out Chance the Rapper, Misterwives, Ty Dolla $ign and Rae Sremmurd pumped up the crowd who were waving lit up styrofoam blocks while so many great up-and-coming artists were awarded and acknowledged for their talent. I guarantee you that you don’t want to miss a chance to witness and be a part of this iconic night so make sure to check in with MTV for more updates!
