Childish Gambino prepares release for ‘…Awaken, My Love’

For months, there has been speculation of  a Childish Gambino album in the works. Fans can now rejoice as the rumors appear to have been true. Donald Glover or Childish Gambino, has just announced  that he is getting set to release a new album this year. The 33-year-old rapper/actor recently completed filming for the first season of his FX hit-series Atlanta. Childish Gambino has titled the project …Awaken, My Love!. The album serves as a  follow-up to Gambino’s 2013 release, Because the Internet.

The reports intensified earlier this week, when an image shared online showed a release board inside an FYE store that listed the album title and a future release date of December 2. A new song was also previewed during episode 5 of Atlanta titled, “Black Justin Bieber” that recently surfaced online.

Via Twitter, Gambino confirmed the upcoming album title and also shared the official album artwork. The album will be released on  Dec. 2. Pre-order for the album is available here.
