Local Concert Alert: Brockhampton
Written by Nehemia Tekleab on September 18, 2017
In the past four months, the California-based music collective, Brockhampton, has taken the internet by storm. Their debut studio albums Saturation and Saturation II (released early June and late August respectively) were met with widespread critical acclaim. Their sound is an amalgamation of the early 2000s R&B, indie rock, and Odd Future-inspired alternative hip hop. Songs can vary from hard-hitting and gritty bangers to sweet and intimate ballads. Each member of the self-proclaimed boy band brings their own unique vocal flair into the mix. Their chemistry rivals legendary hip-hop groups such as Wu-Tang Clan and OutKast, with each member getting enough time and space to showcase their talents.
Brockhampton has shown the world that they are a force to be reckoned with. Their fan base has grown exponentially within the span of two albums, with a third on the way. On September 19th, you can make yourself apart of hip-hop history by joining Brockhampton for the Jennifer’s Tour at Warehouse Live. Come and witness the Internet’s first boy band take Houston by storm on their first official tour.
