Hailing from Naples, Florida, Dominic Fike has begun to create buzz with the official release of his Don’t Forget About Me, Demos EP on Columbia Records. It is said that before this release there was a record label bidding war with Fike choosing a deal that would help him secure a solid legal team for his mother’s defense.
While this is the release that is featured on his Spotify and Apple Music Artist Page, Dominic’s previous Florida rap style music can be found on Youtube and Soundcloud if you do the right searching.
With social media backing from Kendall Jenner, Khalid, and Billie Eilish, and Brockhampton, Fike soon rose up the Spotify Viral 50 Chart. While his current style of mixing alternative, rap, and smooth sailing sounds, it is no wonder why his hit “3 Nights” becomes stuck in your head after just a single listen.
The great thing about Dominic is that you never know what you’re going to get once you press play. His ability to tackle any genre in a genuine way is what fuels his over-flowing potential.
The follow-up of his EP release was met with excitement from collective Brockhampton who decided to do a feature of Fike on their own showcased on their Youtube channel. This has lead to multiple collaborations between Dominic Fike and Brockhampton artist Kevin Abstract on the latter’s summer release titled Arizona Baby.
Channeling his previous Florida rap days, Fike and Kenny Beats, known producer of many Rico Nasty hits teamed up for the track Numbers – a song that is perhaps and ode to those who are now reaching out to Fike after his latest success and rise in the music industry. To further solidify Dominic’s mark on 2019, he and artist Deb Never have hit the road for the “Rain or Shine” Tour.
