Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Comes to Houston this March

After releasing their new single, “Indiglo“, featuring Zach Gill, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong are rearing up for a new Winter 2022 tour. The band members are excited to perform “Indiglo” as it beings a preppy beat and are a refreshing change for their listeners. Pigeons Playing Ping Pong are excited to bring some new joy to their audience. While on their tour, they performed their special Halloween show, which was enjoyed by all fans for their creativity. They honored the work of Daft Punk and Pink Floyd by putting a unique twist on them. Listeners can rewatch their show on their Youtube channel, in which they highlight their favorite sets and songs. Although Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has a precedent of being creative and unique, their recent work has blown listeners away.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong first formed 10 years ago at the University of Maryland, and have gone on to play at venues like Madison Square Garden. They are extremely motivated to bring a fresh, blissful feel to their music. Each song Pigeons Playing Ping Pong creates is upbeat and quirky, even while listening to their song FU, listeners leave the song happy and refreshed. It’s hard to stay mad when listening to their music.

With every song, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong wants to bring people together through their joyous beats. They bring a funky rock-inspired sound to all of their songs, which is essential to their concert experience. Their live shows are known to be exciting, due to how upbeat and joyous their songs are. When listening to their music it’s hard to not dance along to it, they give off incredible energy especially in their song “Fun in Funk”, found on their 2017 album, titled Pizazz.

 “Melting Lights,” a song off their 2014 album Psychology, starts with a funky, jazzy tune that incorporates rock aspects. Each song is filled with a similar creative charm which further invites the audience into the song. It’s hard to resist the temptation to move to the beat of their songs.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong are playing in Houston’s White Oak Music Hall with Karina Rykman on March 3, 2022. The two will give an excellent, bold performance to their audience. Get your tickets here; their show will not disappoint.
