Austin City Limits 2022 – Everything You Need to Know
Written by Keylee Paz on August 31, 2022
It’s that time of year again! Austin’s beloved music festival returns to Zilker Park this October – this time with a few pleasant surprises on the lineup.
Austin City Limits is definitely one of the best festivals that happens in Texas. Each year, they bring us an incredible lineup full of popular headliners and upcoming bands. While ACL was subsequently cancelled in 2020, it made its momentous return in 2021 with a lineup that featured Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, and Jack Harlow. This year, they found a way to keep surprising us.
Not only are we getting the return of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kacey Musgraves (who are ACL alumni), we are also getting first-time ACL performers Paramore, The Chicks and P!nk. The headliners are enough to get your butts down to Austin, but artists in the smaller fonts on the bill are also worth catching – Role Model, Death Cab for Cutie, and Muna.
Besides the headliners and bigger names set to perform, ACL hosts a variety of local acts from all over Texas – this time being more apparent in their lineup. Austin band Sarah & The Sundays are performing the fest for the first time, as well as Pleasure Venom and Teezo Touchdown.
The fest has also announced a series of Late Night shows, which are hosted all over Austin’s premiere venues like Scoot Inn, Mohawk and ACL Live. After the festival day ends, fans can check out some of their favorite artists like Japanese Breakfast and Omar Apollo.
Austin City Limits is known for their incredible music festival culture and creating a safe community for all music fans alike. If you have the chance to take a weekend off and visit Austin, we highly recommend attending the festival. While 3-day tickets are sold-out for both weekends, single-day tickets are still available for purchase.
