The hottest summer festival landed in the space city!
Summer Jam HTX 2023 was a music festival filled with talent, food, clothes, and tons of fun. The festival ground had a two-stage setup, the main was called “Houston” and the smaller was the “L.O.U.D”. Both of these stages were up and running by 2:30 PM with local and rising acts.
The Houston stage started off the hot Saturday day with acts like Lil Hawk, Skyrah Bliss, and Khody Blake. The opening artist made sure to cast an impression on the crowd with the time limited time they had to perform. During the day if you weren’t vibing to some music you could walk around to buy food of all types, clothes, and the most refreshing strawberry lemonade.
As the night fell there were light rain showers but that did not stop the show. Artists like BSGG Lil Man, Fat Pimp, Syreeta O, and Lady Icess still manage to hype up the Houston crowd with engaging performances. In fact, the rap duo The Art of Ratchet, brought some fans on stage to dance alongside them. The crowd felt like a big family function showing their support for the talents on stage.
To finish off the night the big hitters hit the Houston stage! Artists like Gloss Up, K Carbon, Kentheman, and Asian Doll had the ladies feeling confident with songs like “Shabooya” and “Nunnadet Shit”. Houston native Beatking and Duke Duece were the last artists before the headliners of the night. Beatking made sure to play his hits across his deep catalog and Duke Duece showed off his dance moves to the crowd.
Finally, the City Girls hit the stage as the headliners of the Summer Jam Festival 2023. Phones out, the crowd moved forward, and screaming began. The rap duo from Miami is well-loved in Houston and the people made sure to let them know. The girls played songs like “Twerk”, “Pussy Talk” and “Act Up”. Their stage presence was electric and playful throughout their whole set. Summer Jam HTX 2023 was a unique experience with great people, remember to follow them for more information about their 2024 show!
