SiR delivers an Emotional Night in Houston

Inglewood’s own, SiR, is an RnB artist known for his songwriting and raw vocals. He released his album Heavy earlier this year, and now with supporting acts Zacari and Davion Ferris they brought the Life is Good Tour across the states.
The show began with label mate Zacari. His unique voice and passion on stage had the crowd rocking heads for his set. He played songs like Bliss, Redemption Interlude, and a stripped-back version of “LOVE” by Kendrick Lamar. Zacari’s talent is undeniable, he was a great way to start the show.
Next on stage was Davion Farris, a powerhouse of a singer. He is SiR’s older brother and a great artist as well. He came out on stage with a cropped shirt and baggy denim pants. Farris has been releasing music for over ten years along with his brothers. He is a great live vocalist, SiR even joked that he thinks Farris is better than him. “Y’all heard Davion right, I can’t even do that,” his younger brother said. Farris performed songs like Tunnel Vision and Switch Up, and the fans loved every second of it. Talent must run in the family!
Lastly, the star of the night came out, SiR. At the beginning of his stage, SiR shared devastating news with Houston stating that earlier that day his mom passed away. You could feel the shift of emotion in the crowd. Through that pain, he still delivered a great show.
Fan favorites like “You Can’t Save Me,” “KARMA” and “John Redcorn” were a big hit that night. Houston would smile and sing word for word with him. In between songs, SiR would talk about how much his mother meant to him and his brothers, they were words truly spoken from the heart. At one point he even broke down and performed from the floor with his older brother right next to him supporting him. It was touching seeing them grieve on stage together.
To wrap up the emotional night SiR performed his biggest hits like “Something New” and “LIFE IS GOOD.” He thanked Houston for being so patient with him for the night. The screen then changed to “In Loving Memory of Jackie Gouche.” This was truly an unforgettable night. SiR is finishing his tour in a few more states, catch him if you can, and show some love!
Authors Note:
This is my last show covering for Coogradio as I have now finished my Bachelor’s degree. These past two years have been some of the most memorable of my life. I want to thank Keylee, Amaryllis, Riley and Brytan for always believing in my vision and allowing me to be on the team. Without their guidance, I would not be where I am today. And Coogradio as a whole for the safe space they hold for music lovers on campus. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Go Coogssss!
