ACL 2024: Music Highlights

Anticipation Arises for 2024 Lineup:

The Austin City Limits Music Festival allows artists to arrive and spread harmonious bliss annually. From October 4-6 and October 11-13, look for these outstanding performers in the 2024 lineup, performing at Zilker Park. In a breakdown of each day, I will highlight astounding artists that share their musical gift.

Friday

Norah Jones

The noble soul and jazz vocalist has been making music since 2002. With her notable album Come Away With Me and her new album Visions, Jones will perform her musical evolution. The Grammy-winning soothing vocals are a tremendous headlining act for the iconic festival

Sir Chole

Performing Friday, October 4th, and October 11th, the indie rock singer will delight fans with her raw talent. In just three years, she has released two albums, Party Favors and I Am the Dog. With her new single “Over Again”, Sir Chloe’s gritty guitar and raspy vocals will echo through the park.

Mannequin Pussy

Only performing on October 5th, this group has broken the barrier of being a punk rock group. They are a new wave of alternative music with lead vocalist Collins “Bear” Regisford’s authentic rasp and a female instrumentalist, Kaleen, Maxine, and Marisa. The Philadelphia-based group celebrates their new album, I Got Heaven, as they will walk on the Austin Stage with punk rock persona.

Saturday

Dua Lipa

Performing both October 5th and October 12th, Dua Lipa has made her mark since her debut in 2017. From her freshman album, Dua Lipa, to her sophomore album, Future Nostalgia, Lipa has been a pop star for Generation Z. As she celebrates her recent album, Radical Optimism, Lipa will headline the Austin stage with stylish flare.

Performing on October 5th and October 12th, the Korean bedroom pop group has established its mark. With slow love ballads such as “seasons” and “love,” the group’s mixture of English and Korean lyrics displays grace and maturity. As they celebrate their new album, play with Earth! 0.03, the group will ease fans with slow harmonies and soulful vocals.

Eyedress

Performing on October 5th and 12th, Eyedress beautifully blends indie and electronic music. With hits such as “Romantic Lover,” “Jealous,” and “Something About You,” the singer is a five-time platinum recording artist. With the new album Vampire in Beverly Hills, Eyedress will continue to share his success on the Austin Stage.

Kevin Abstract

The Texan rapper returns to his home state to share his soothing R&B vocals. Abstract, well-known from the rap group BROCKHAMPTON, has a solo career that shines with songs such as “Peach” and “Empty.” He will perform on October 6th and October 13th to celebrate his new release, Glue. It’s a must-watch for fans of R&B.

Tyler the Creator

Performing October 6th and October 13th, words can begin to describe Tyer the Creator. The Hip-hop artist inspires Generation Z with RnB melodies and astounding lyrical work. With over 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he has reached success with hits such as “See U Again,” “EARTHQUAKE,” and “BEST INTEREST.” A definite choice to headline the iconic festival.

Chappell Roan

Performing October 6th and 13th, Chappel Roan has had an astounding year. She opened for Olivia Rodrigo, performed at Coachella, and reached mass success with her album The Rise and Fall of A Midwest Princess. For fans of excellent theatrical performances filled with passion, the “Good Luck Babe” singer brings pride to the Austin stage.
