Walking out in an all black outfit, David Kushner took the stage in a calm, cool demeanor. As the crowd loudly cheered, he promptly greeted them with a wave and a smile. A few moments later, the music began and the show kicked off with “Darkerside,” “Humankind” and “Poison.”

The scene was set with six large pillars, a four-piece band (including Kushner), and a great combination of lights. From strobes to swaying spotlights, each song was accompanied by a unique sequence and the singer’s extremely strong voice. It was a perfect mixture to create an entrancing experience. The show continued with songs such as “No High,” “Flesh x Blood,” and a personal standout, “Skin and Bones.”

In between songs, the performer always took the chance to connect with the crowd and make sure that Houston knew how appreciative he was for the city. He even got vulnerable with the audience about things like his journey in music, love and religion. Once the music returned, it was met with the voices of fans, creating an echo in the venue due to how passionate and loud they were singing along.

Overall, Kushner gave an amazing show that no one wanted to end. While he won’t be on tour for much longer, you should still keep up with him for any news of shows in the future. David Kushner is definitely a star on the rise, whose stage presence takes him over the top!
