“Slushii: There X2 Tour at Stereo Live” by Chris Kalwick

Saturday night, May 26th, Slushii and Volt hit the stage at Stereo Live. The opener, Volt, performed a wide variety of dubstep mixes, hitting all the right notes that the crowd wanted to hear. Mixing some old Skrillex with some newer beats, Volt hyped the crowd right where Slushii wanted it to be. When he finally hit the stage, everybody was ready to go.

Slushii opened with “Luv U Need U” followed by his mix of Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” and “Burial” by Skrillex. One of the greatest parts of his set was when he included La Roux’s “Bulletproof,” as well as Panic at the Disco’s “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”. Throughout the set, Slushii brought the best that he could offer, changing the tempo up every which way he could until the end. But sadly, it always seems like every show goes by too quickly.

Lucky for us though, Slushii gave us not just one, but two songs in his encore, which happened to be “There X2” as well as “Out of Light.” Every time I have seen Slushii live, he’s always given it his all. You can always see and hear his passion that he has for his music. This time, Stereo Live was his platform. He and Volt played a memorable show that’s going to be hard to forget.
