Anderson .Paak

2018 was a year filled with countless ups and downs as well as tons of good music. Some songs happened to fall through the cracks and I’m here to make sure you didn’t forget them. Here are, Bops You Almost Missed in 2018.

I like to start most spotlights with the artists’ real name in order for the reader to get that feeling like “huh, they’re just a regular old person with a regular old name”. For Kaytranada however, I will not. You look up his name if you wish to know it so bad, I prefer to […]

Rapper Destin Route seems to have an appropriate name for the up-and-coming moves that he is making by the better known stage name J.I.D. Earlier this year he became one of the latest artists who got signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville Records, following which he released his debut album The Never Story in March. J.I.D, […]

Written by Waylon O’Day and Raj Radia The fifteenth annual Austin City Limits Music Festival was an experience for sure, but that doesn’t mean that it’s always a good experience. The good definitely outweighed the bad, but regardless, some acts soared, while others faltered heavily. Here are Waylon and Raj’s favorite, and least favorite sets […]

Coverage by Waylon O’Day and Raj Radia It seemed hard to top the first day of ACL’s second weekend, but thanks to performances from Anderson .Paak, Cage the Elephant, and Kendrick Lamar somehow managed to do it. Saturday’s weather was arguably better than Friday’s with more of a steady temperature which kept things manageable even […]

R&B’s golden boy, Brandon Anderson, or better known by the moniker Anderson .Paak and his band, the Free Nationals are known for their hard to classify sound. The Oxnard, California crooner will definitely be bringing the funk to this year’s Austin City Limits Music festival second weekend.

After his last album GO:OD AM, it was pretty impossible to guess where Mac Miller would take his talents next. With albums and mixtapes such as Watching Movies with the Sound Off, Faces, K.I.D.S., and many others, it’s pretty hard to top such an extensive discography. However, four days ago when Mac Miller sent out […]

Electric, infectious and down right groovy. These are the only three words that could possibly describe the energy R&B’s golden boy, Anderson .Paak and the Free Nats brought to Houston House of Blues this past Wednesday night.

Does the name KAYTRANADA ring a bell? Well it should because the 23 year old producer hailing from Montreal has just released his most sophisticated work yet…and lucky for us this is only the beginning.

The last two years has certainly been a journey for Anderson .Paak. From being an opener for Watsky’s All You Can Do Tour, releasing his first debut studio album “Venice,” to being a key feature on Dr. Dre’s “Compton,” it’s no surprise to see .Paak has outdone himself once again on his newly released project, “Malibu.”

Anderson .Paak just recently visited Houston with Watsky’s “All You Can Do” tour and is definitely an artist worth looking out for.   Formerly known as “Breezy LoveJoy,” Anderson .Paak exploded onto the LA music scene early on with his debut album, “Cover Art.” His album contained an impressive, soulful rendition “Maps” by the Yeah […]
