SOS Fest Artist Spotlight: Big Boi

If you don’t know Big Boi then you don’t know hip-hop.

For more than 20 years, Big Boi has released music with Outkast—one of the most successful hip-hop groups of all time. As one-half of Outkast, Big Boi introduced southern style to the masses and helped to shape modern hip-hop.

These days Big Boi is working on solo projects—including 2010’s Sir Lucious Left Foot and 2012’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors—and collaborating with unlikely partners like Phantogram.

Big Boi is hip-hop royalty, so don’t miss the chance to catch his live performance at Sound on Sound Fest.

Sound on Sound Fest will run November 4-6 at Sherwood Forest in McDade, TX. Purchase passes here.

Keep up with Big Boi on Twitter and Instagram. Big Boi’s most recent project, Big Grams, is available on Apple Music and Google Play.

BreeAngela Hamilton is a senior majoring in print journalism. She still burns mixed CDs for her car radio on a desktop computer. Follow her on Twitter and Instagram (@breeelyse_).
