Ed Sheeran Covers Christina Aguilera’s “Dirty!”

Written by on February 25, 2015

I am such a 90s baby, so I love all the music from the late 90s and the early 2000s. One of my favorite pop divas of that era and most likely of all time, is Christina Aguilera. I am such a fan! I have also become a fan of Ed Sheeran in recent years, so imagine my excitement when discovering that he covered a Christina Aguilera song at BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge.” Not only that, but Sheeran chose the controversially charged record that displayed Aguilera’s more grown-up transition with her music! “Dirty,” from the Xtina album “Stripped,” has always been one of my favorite records by Aguilera, so I was pleasantly surprised when Sheeran covered the song in such a creative way. Not only did he do the record justice, but he added his own “Sheeran-like” twist on it. He was even bold enough to do Redman’s rap from the song and he killed it! I strongly suggest that you check out the cover below and give us your thoughts on it!
